One of my fondest memories from childhood is creating super heroes with my younger brother. I would draw them, write a unique back story for each one (there were notebooks full), list their powers, and then we would act them out in a game of imagination while galavanting around Grandpop's farm.
Although my passion for the arts started at a young age—writing stories, music, and poetry—it grew to be more performance-focused.Over the years, I've had the privilege of working closely with many talented directors and creative artists. These experiences strengthened my understanding of character, dialogue, and emotional pacing—skills that now shape my fiction.
After packing up my life in NJ and driving cross-country to CA, I began my professional career, met my husband, and we grew our family. During that season of transition—of becoming and creating and finding myself once more—I fell back in love with smudged fingertips and paper cuts.Through my children I rediscovered my love for storytelling, and with a renewed commitment to my craft, I started and completed my debut novel.
I loved growing up a Jersey girl; it will always be a piece of my identity. It made me comfortable with turnpikes and long car rides and traffic. And that comfort led me to pack up and drive across the country to California. It led me to so many unforgettable memories and adventures. It led me to my found family.
Many years later, I now live in Pennsylvania with my husband and our two young children. We moved to a quaint, picturesque town called Lock Haven, that made it possible for me to stay home and raise our children--and chickens, and ducks, and rabbits (oh, my!).
In college, I majored in theatre and communications, eventually graduating with a BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. My path hasn't been typical of a writer, but I am a creative. I always have been.
When I am not writing, you can usually find me DIYing our one hundred year old home, fiddling in the garden, or hiking with family and friends.
